Conus Sleeves

FEMA can provide sleeves (collars) for any of the spears we sell.  If you need more or fewer sleeves than spears for your attachment, no problem.  All sleeves are sold individually and separate from the spears.

Conic Nuts

FEMA also has replacement nuts for your convenience.  All nuts are conic to create a tight fit between the spear and the sleeve.  See torqueing specifications in the catalog for proper torque. 

 

 

FEMA is the distributor of the original SHW German made bale spear.  We have many sizes to choose from.  If you need a hay spear for square bales or large round bales, we have it.  Look around and find yours.

 

SHW manufactures their spears according to the highest quality standards in the farming industry.  Each spear is made from a special alloy steel, then the spear is fully forged and fully heat treated for strength.  SHW then uses a CNC lathe for the machining process which gives the spear the same fitment every time.  Go to the process page to get more details of the techniques used to make the world's best spear.

 

 

Conus 1

The Conus 1 (C1) SHW spears are fully forged, fully heat treated and straightened by hand.  Check out the video on the Process page..

 

 

Conus 2

The Conus 2 (C2) SHW spear is basically a larger version of the Conus 1 (C1) spear.  It has a larger diameter at the base of the spear at the sleeve.  The C2 spear can do all the jobs the C1 spear can do and more.  Think of it as the "big brother" to the C1 spear.  Check out the video on the Process page.

 

 

Conus 3

The Conus 3 (C3) is the "grand daddy" of all the SHW spears.  This spear is not very common, but is getting there.  The C3 spear could very well be the future of hay handling.  Check out the video on the Process page.
